All the tiny x's are stitched.  I have 4 days until Christmas Day.  I'm not sure I'm going to get this finished, framed and up on the wall by then but I'm gonna give it a ruddy good try!

Framed by my lovely husband. 

The outer border is a grey stone colour with a 0.5cm inner border of blue for Ravenclaw.

I might not necessarily like French knots and backstitching but it does make all the difference.

All the full stitches and half stitches are now complete.

Next is the backstitch and French knots.  The necessary evil that will bring it to life.

I'm loving how quickly this is coming along.

This was the progress as of 20th September.

And this was 11th October.

While I'm not particularly fond of doing backstitch, this will look amazing when the backstitch gives the detail. 

Ravenclaw Common Room

 

August 22nd and I'm turning my thoughts to the festive season.   

I have one for each of the four houses.  Ravenclaw is up first.

Almost 17 months later!

 It has been a labour of love.

So many things have changed in the last 17 months.  We brought a new puppy into our family, lost first Ellie and then my father, and our son got 2 distinctions and a merit in his police studies.

This would have been finished a long time ago had I stitched it on black but there is some assisi going on that I thought would look better on white fabric.

Take my advice, stitch it on black and sew the assisi white 😅
