Other finishes

Since this blog thus far has brought together my finished projects in one place, there are a number that I simply cannot recall what year I completed them. Therefore they have been planted here.

A 'seasons' stitchalong on ACN prompted this quartet of hardanger tiles designed by Cols Creations.

Thunder Ridge

Northern Lights

And my first Yorkshire Terrier.  She lived to the grand age of 13.

How many more pieces I've created over the last 25 years I simply cannot remember! Most of these have been gifts given before I've thought to take a photo.

From here on in I'm going to endeavour to keep a record of my projects.

2015

A bit of a different challenge.

My mother-in-law's friend gifted me a huge amount of stitchy stash including a part finished sampler.  This kind of work isn't usually my cup of tea, but this one felt special.

A bit of card crafting.

The stitching zone.

Stitching on the overnight ferry to visit very good friends in The Netherlands.

My dad has a beautiful Irish wolfhound called Ruby. This was a wee gift for his birthday.

More charity fundraising...almost £1500 for Breast Cancer Care.  I grew my hair specifically for the event (it took 18 months to grow and about 10 minutes to shave!)

Oh yes, cross stitching. Christmas stocking filler for my husband's cousin's daughter.

My very good friends in The Netherlands bought me a kit depicting a wonderful theme park over there called Efteling. It's like Disney with a bit more class.  If you ever find yourself in NL do visit, whatever your age!

To wind up the year, colleagues at work donated toys for the local radio appeal.

Finishes 2014

Another year of cross stitching.

I started 'By the Summerhouse' in September 2013. It took me around 8 months to stitch and now hangs in our hall.

Tools of my trade.

My Happy Place.  Our very good friends' garden immortalised in stitches.

Something new - water soluble canvas. A little charity finish.

Charity time again. Coffee and cake for Breast Cancer Care.

After making a bit of a hash first time round a couple of years previously, this time it's complete, finished as a bellpull and on display in time for Christmas.

Finishes 2013

It was time for another tree. Autumn Peace.

By mid summer I had finished the latest Mystic Stitch tree - Morning Trail. Probably the best photo quality design I've stitched.

Dictionary of Gardens - combining my two favourite pastimes.

A birthday gift for a work colleague. She's rather fond of giraffes.

A little more charity. Our younger son saved his pennies and bought a lego kit and a Barbie doll before taking them to the local radio station for kids who might not have anything to open on Christmas day.  If a 10 year old can do that, what can our workplace do?  A collection was raised at work and we went shopping for more gifts.

Showing off some festive stitching.

Finishes 2012

It's not long before I have a hankering for charity stitching again.  This time it's for Breast Cancer Care.

The 'Outlaws' have a big anniversary looming so I gave myself a year to stitch this sampler.  It now hangs in their hall.

These two little door hangers were stitched for our small Dutch friends.

And this tissue box cover and coasters I made for my desk at work.
